The weather is beautiful and the desert is in bloom, and that means one thing here at Lindsay Bishop Events…it’s busy season! I’ll have some really beautiful weddings to share with you soon but, in the meantime, I wanted to show you our most recent inspiration.
A few weeks ago, I met with super-sweet LBE bride, Alison, to begin refining her wedding vision. She’ll be marrying her sweetheart at the Arizona Inn, on what’s sure to be a beautiful indian-summer day in October. From the beginning, Alison looked to the venue’s lush grounds for inspiration. The Arizona Inn is peppered with orange and eucalyptus trees, and she really wanted the wedding to have an organic feel, as though the decor was plucked straight from the garden. I just loved that idea!
To keep the decor feeling organic, we decided to use a range of colors, just like you would find in a real garden. Pretty blush and peach tones give a soft, romantic feel, while bright pops of tangerine lend visual interest. Alison has a love affair with dahlias (don’t we all?), and wanted to use them anywhere and everywhere! So, we’ll incorporate oversized dinnerplate dahlias into the stunning garland that will frame her ceremony arch, pretty peach flowers into a beautiful wild bridal bouquet, and fun and funky orange varieties in the centerpieces. We even found a refreshing signature cocktail featuring blood oranges that will keep guests cool in the Arizona sun.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see all of these darling details come together on her wedding day! October can’t come soon enough!
