The past few days have been busy around the Bishop house! Laundry, packing, trying to find all of our fishing tools…because tomorrow the hubby and I are finally getting out of this heat! He’s been counting the minutes until he gets to play with his new fly fishing rod, while I just can’t wait to get up to our rental cabin, unpack, and unplug.
Since I have total vacation brain, when it came time for me to start working on this week’s inspiration board, I knew that I just had to create a beautiful lodge-themed wedding.
Even if you’re not getting married at an actual lodge, there are so many ways to incorporate the woods into any wedding space. Antlers don’t often make an appearance in wedding decor, but for an outdoorsy couple, spending some time in the woods (or desert) to collect them is the perfect way to get your groom involved in a wedding project! I just love the unique way that antlers are incorporated into the ceremony arch, and they make a great addition to an eclectic centerpiece, too.
Using neutral colors, like bark, khaki, tan and moss make any space feel woodsy. Don’t shy away from pink flowers (especially if you love them as much as I do)! It’s important to incorporate some femininity into your decor, even with a masculine theme like this one.
Moss is such an easy way to bring the outdoors in, and it adds a fun textural element to an otherwise simple escort table. If you’re looking for a way to make your sweetheart or head table stand out, you can be sure to get your guests’ attention with a moss tablecloth. Seriously, how cool is that?
Now, it’s time for me to pack up this computer and fall of the grid! Check out our Instagram next week for pictures…hopefully we’ll have a lot of fish to show off!
